CakeNuts Cakes L.L.C. is an online home-based bakery started by Kellie Jamel in 2010.  All CakeNuts orders are custom orders specific to each individual customer therefore CakeNuts does not have desserts readily available for "tastings" or additional orders for direct purchase without previous submission or a formal order form.

 

Kellie started CakeNuts Cakes LLC in January 2010.  She always had an eye for art as her parents discovered her talent for drawing, painting and sculpting at an early age.  At the tender age of 9 Kellie was taught to bake by 2 very influential women in her life...her mother, Stephanie Benefield, and her grandmother, Frances Burke, (both pictured below).  Initially baking and designing cakes were only hobbies for Kellie, and her elaborately designed cakes were only seen and enjoyed by family and close friends, however today CakeNuts has blossomed into a pretty well-known Cake Design Company in the Washington DC Metro Area.

 

When time permits, Kellie also volunteers at a few of the local high schools in the DC Metro Area. The Culinary Departments truly appreciates her demonstrations to the students and of course the samples she brings for tasting. Unfortunately no private lessons are taught at this time however Cake Parties are offered.

CakeNuts DOES NOT DO Wedding Cakes, Cake Pops, Cake Tastings, or Deliveries.  Unfortunately we do not do Novelty Orders during the week (Monday - Friday). Pick up days/times for orders are on Saturdays and Sundays Only.  Other days/times may be arranged depending on availability.
